Update

Grandma visited with her doctor yesterday after a full body scan the day before. The mass on her pancreas is 4 x 2 inches...yes inches. There is also a cyst or something of the sort on her kidney. She is having a biopsy done in a couple weeks which will give her more news. She wants to wait until after the family reunion so she is not any weaker. Since the pancreas is about 6 inches long, the mass has pretty much taken it over. Not very good news but still praying for a miracle. Please keep her in your prayers as well.

Sad News

Yesterday I received some bad news from my Grandmother. They found a mass on her pancreas. Tuesday they are doing a full body scan to see if she has masses anywhere else. My Grandmother is a survivor of breast cancer so she knows the drill. She has decided with her being 89 she isn't going to fight this and put it in God's hands. I have read up on Pancreatic cancer and know the statistics. All I can do is pray for her and for little or no pain as it progresses. Please keep her in your prayers as well. She has been a very loving constant in my life, an amazing mother figure and I can't imagine my life without her. I'll keep everyone posted as I learn anything.

Happy Birthday Hannah

Today is Hannah's 11th birthday. Let me tell you about this sweet girl. I love her to the ends of the earth and back again. Hannah is Nicole's oldest child and my sweet angel. We started a tradition a couple years ago around her birthday weekend where we get together, stay in a hotel, go out to eat, shop, play...do whatever our hearts desire. This year we are getting together next weekend and we have lots of fun planned. It has been so amazing getting to watch Hannah grow. I remember all her cute antics as a toddler (shake booty, hairplane, hicecream) to her preteenage antics of a different sort these days! Hannah, THANK YOU so much for allowing me to share in your life. I love you so much and I am always proud of you. You are eternally my sweet little angel. Love, your Aunt Stephanie!!!!

Happy Birthday Nicole

Okay, I'm a day late with the blog but I got the wishes on the right day! Yesterday, May 20th, was my best friend Nicole's birthday. There are no words to describe what Nicole means to me. We have been through everything you can imagine together...dance classes, skipping school ;), flat tires, jumping railroad tracks, college and dorm life, weddings, funerals, births, long talks, crazy trips, laughter, tears...you name it, we've done it TOGETHER! (29 years worth!)

I love you so much Nicole. You are my best friend, my sister in soul, my right arm, my sunshine, my inspiration, my everything I could ever ask for in a friend. I hope you had a beautiful birthday.

Skittle

I took the kids and their friends to Six Flags on May 1st for Skittle. It's a private party, fund raising event for The Gladney Center. The Gladney Center is an amazing adoption agency in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that has done so much good. Their were no lines and the weather was perfect. We had a great time!
