Happy Birthday to Us!

Darrell and I went to Vegas for the weekend as a birthday present to each other. We wanted to see a Cirque du Soleil show and that was our reason for picking "Sin City". We did a tiny bit of gambling but mostly just relaxed and got away from it all. The show was amazing. We now want to see all of them! I highly recommend seeing one if you ever have the opportunity!

Melody

Melody is doing so well in college. This is the same girl who never even made the honor roll in high school! She is blowing us away and making us so proud. She is a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron, the honor society for nutritional sciences, member of Nation Society of Collegiate Scholars, invited to attend the inauguration of the president in D.C. and on the Dean's List. If I could still do cart wheels I would be doing them around the block and back! Her hard work is paying off tenfold and she deserves every bit of it! Way to go Mel...WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Easter 2008

We all went on an Easter egg hunt at Briarhill Park. The kids had so much fun running out after all the eggs. I told Ivan to run to the other side and start since all the other kids would probably start close by and move away. He did what I said and came away with a lot! Janna also got a hug from the Easter Bunny!

Fun Day at Kid's Castle and beyond...

Karen and the kids came for a visit over Spring Break. We celebrated Ivan's 7th birthday and then went to Kid's Castle for some fun since it was so beautiful outside. I can't believe how quick they kids are growing up. They are so much fun and we enjoy every second we get to spend with them.

Get off the roads!

Dalton is now driving. He got his R-E-D truck on his birthday, March 17th, from his mom and Heath. I think we all waited in the driveway for over an hour waiting to see it come down the road! I don't think you could wipe the smile off his face for days! It's a 1986 Chevy and reminds me so much of when I was in high school. It is pretty fun to drive and he is always looking for a reason to go somewhere!

She's coming for a visit!!!!!

Our girl Tii is coming for a visit the end of April for 2 weeks. I can't even begin to tell you how excited we are!!!! Nuff said!

Chris Rock

Darrell and I took the boys to see Chris Rock, the comedian, last Thursday at the Nokia Theater in Grand Prairie. It was so funny but I have to admit I got a little embarrassed a few times in front of the boys with a few things Chris said! He can be very brass and says it like it is with terms that make you turn 10 shades of red in front of your kids! I wish I had pictures to post but they wouldn't allow cameras in and my phone camera didn't do it justice. We had a great time!
